Bushfire Recovery Victoria
The Victorian Government has established Bushfire Recovery Victoria (BRV) as a new permanent agency dedicated to assisting Victorian communities recover from the effects of bushfires.
BRV has a wide range of programs and initiatives available to assist communities and organisations. Details can be found here https://www.vic.gov.au/bushfire-recovery-programs-and-initiatives .
Of particular interest to Friends Groups may be the initiative to establish Community Recovery Committees. These will

  • assist local governments and communities to help shape recovery, grants and support programs that reflect the community’s needs
  • be made up of representatives from communities within bushfire-affected areas

Each community committee will be established once the community is ready by Bushfire Recovery Victoria and local councils.
Friends Groups in fire affected areas may like to get involved and you can register your interest here https://www.vic.gov.au/get-involved-in-your-communitys-recovery .
