The VSTWP shared a stall with the local landcare groups at the ever-popular Ballan Autumn Festival, which has now been going 40 years. We had our usual array of extension information on how to identifty and best manage serrated tussock, as well as live specimens to assist with identifcation attributes. The day was a massive success and was as popular as ever, with excellent weather and many interested landowners.
The Ballan Autumn Festival is an annual celebration of our local culture, creativity and community. It’s one of the largest events in the Moorabool Shire; 2015 attendance was over 8,000 visitors.
The next year's festival will be held in March 2018 in the main street of Ballan (Inglis Street). The street is lined with over 100 stalls and food outlets, with dedicated areas devoted to food, agriculture, machinery and art, so come and find the VSTWP and say hello next year.
